What is Pokémon World Championships 2024?
The Pokémon World Championships is the annual finale of the Pokémon Championship Series. Held in a different city each year, it serves as the culminating competitive event for Pokémon TCG, VGC, Pokémon GO and Pokémon UNITE players.
Qualification is based on a season-long points system with top performers in each game and region earning an invite. There are three age divisions for TCG and VGC – Junior, Senior and Masters with the Masters division featuring the elite professional players.
Over the course of three days, tournament formats include Swiss and single or double elimination brackets. A range of World Championship titles are awarded including Video Game Masters, Trading Card Game Masters and overall Pokémon World Champion.
